Rustaq, Hamra, Amerat receive heavy rains

A number of the Sultanate’s wilayats received heavy rains on Wednesday as clouds continue to hover over Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas. The Met Office said Al Wusta and Dhofar Governorates may receive rains today. Moderate to heavy rain fell in wilayats of Rustaq, Al Hamra, Al Amerat and Al Jabal Al Akhdar which brought down temperatures. In Al Hamra, wadis of Al Midaam, Dofia and Al Nakher overflew following the rainfall. With rains lashing many areas, farmers have been benefiting considerably after three months of water shortage.
