Historic landmark collapses in Awabi after heavy rains

AL AWABI: The Al Milail heritage landmark in Wadi Bani Kharous in the Wilayat of Al Awabi collapsed when the area was hit by a rainstorm and heavy rains on Tuesday. The age-old historic wall couldn’t withstand the powerful currents pouring down from the mountaintop and collapsed almost entirely. The ancient wall served as a shortcut bridge for the residents of Senebei village as well as a well-visited tourist destination.
