Omani twins win 2 bronze medals at robotics contest

Washington: Hamoud bin Nasser al Saadi and Ali bin Nasser al Saadi, hearing-impaired Omani twins won two bronze medals on Tuesday at an international robotics competition in Washington, which attracted teams of teenagers from more than 150 nations. Access to clean water was the focus for the inaugural FIRSTGlobal robotics game organised by George Washington University. The Omani twins won Rajaâ Cherkaoui El Moursli Award for Courageous Achievement, which is awarded to teams that exhibit a “can-do” attitude and Francisco Jose de Caldas Award for Sustainable Excellence Awarded to an individual who helped contribute to strong and sustainable FIRSTGlobal programmes.
