Port of Salalah climbs in global ranking

The Port of Salalah has advanced 17 ranks to the 44th position at the Lioyd’s List of Top 100 Container Ports, 2016 achieving a highest growth rate of 29 per cent. Last year Port of Salalah handled 3.3 million containers against 2.5 containers handled in 2015. The port is ranked 11th in terms of transit and deals with the world’s largest shipping lines.
