Crackdown on furniture workshop for violating rules

The Consumer Protection department raided a manufacturing workshop in Rustaq where foreign workers where a new home furniture were produced, after recycling the wood pieces from the used and discarded furniture. The authority said such acts violate the Consumer Protection Law and posed a danger to healthy and safety of the consumers.
The arrest took place during one of the inspections in the industrial zone of Rustaq where the officers found the presence of a large number of wood pieces and parts of used furniture at the entrance of the workshop. Following a detailed follow-up investigations, a strong legal action has been initiated against the company.
