Sultanate takes part in UN’s ‘Blue Peace’ conference

GENEVA: The Sultanate is taking part in the conference of The Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace, which was opened in Geneva, Switzerland, on Thursday under the theme ‘Blue Peace’. The delegation of the Sultanate represents the Middle East Water Research Center. Delegations from Switzerland, France, Cambodia, Colombia, Senegal, Coast Arica, Jordan, Estonia, Ghana, Hungary Slovenia and Spain are taking part in the conference. The Sultanate will submit its proposals on water problems as a source of peace and life, especially in areas suffering from water scarcity and political conflict. It should be noted that water is the artery of life and water scarcity affects other elements of life, such as food and industry. — ONA
