SU holds orientation day

Muscat, Oct 2 - Sohar University on Sunday held an orientation day for the new students admitted to various programmes for academic year 2017-18. The orientation programme was held at the Great Hall of the Learning Resources Centre in order to introduce students to the university, its facilities and services. It began with a video presentation on the university, its annexes and services. It was followed by a welcome speech by the Vice-Chancellor Prof Barry Win and a talk by Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs Prof Hamza Idris. An overview of the missions and their systems was presented by Head of Internal Missions at the Ministry of Higher Education, Khalil al Farsi. The total number of students at the university has reached more than 7,000 students for different courses: Diploma, Advanced Diploma, BA and MA. Musallam al Saidi
