New centre set up to assess environment

MUSCAT: Mohammed bin Salim al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs, has issued a ministerial decision setting up a centre for environment assessment and issuing permits. Procedures and technical mechanisms have been laid down for the centre to function properly and boost the work efficiency and the way the ministry provides its services. In the coming days the ministry will start issuing the environmental e-licences for the commercial projects in cooperation with the Invest Easy Portal.
