Health Minister holds talks with Unicef representative

MUSCAT: Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, received in his office on Monday Lana al Wreikat, Representative of United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (Unicef) in the Sultanate. The minister welcomed the Unicef Representative, wishing her success in her new duties in the Sultanate. Dr Al Saeedi highly praised the cooperation between the Sultanate and the Unicef in the relevant fields including health field, emphasising the need for strengthening the collaboration between the Ministry of Health and Unicef in health and childhood domains. Al Wreikat expressed her admiration of the Sultanate’s health system development and the achievements made in health areas pertaining to woman and child health, as well as the immunisation programme. — ONA
