Oman, Kuwait stress activating cooperation in education

MUSCAT: Dr Abdullah bin Mohammed al Sarmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, received at his office on Tuesday Dr Murdhi Obeid Ayyash al Anzi, Head of the Cultural Office at the Consulate General of Kuwait in Dubai, and his accompanying delegation. At the beginning of the meeting, the undersecretary welcomed the guest and the delegation accompanying him. He gave an overview of the higher education in the Sultanate and the stages that the Sultanate has taken in the field of public and private higher education. He spoke about the importance of activating the joint cooperation between the two countries and the steps taken by the Sultanate in improving and ensuring the quality of the higher educational institutions. He stressed the importance of the Omani Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA) role in evaluating private institutions in the Sultanate. — ONA
