Oman, UK review strong defence ties

MUSCAT: Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, received in his office on Sunday Lt Gen John Lorimer, UK Defence Senior Adviser for Middle East, within the framework of his current visit to the Sultanate. During the meeting, they discussed topics of concern to the two friendly countries and reviewed march of the good relations binding the Sultanate and the friendly UK to serve the joint interests, besides touching on several issues of common concern. Separately, Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, also received in his office at Mu’askar Al Murtafa’a on Sunday Lt Gen John Lorimer and his delegation. The meeting reviewed the strong relations between the two friendly countries and discussed fields of cooperation between the defence ministries in the two countries and means of promoting them. The meeting also exchanged viewpoints on matters of common concern. The meeting was attended by the UK appointed-ambassador to the Sultanate. — ONA
