Japan Honours Ithraa chief

Tokyo: With the blessing of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, Dr Salem bin Nasser al Ismaily, Chairman of the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa), received the Order of the Rising Sun, Golden and Silver Star at an award ceremony held at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo on Tuesday. The Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe presented the award and certificate to Dr Al Isamily, who was then received by Emperor Akihito. Commenting on the award, Dr Al Isamily said: “I should like to thank Emperor Akihito and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe for this most prestigious award. It is my great privilege and profound honour to accept The Order of the Rising Sun, Golden and Silver Star.” — ONA
