Desert marathon winners felicitated

MUSCAT: His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tareq al Said honoured the winners of the 5th edition of Oman Desert Marathon which concluded at Al Bashair Square in the Wilayat of Adam on Friday. Morocco’s Mohammed al Mirbati emerged winner at the end of the sixth and final leg of the marathon. He finished the race in 13:56:10. Oman’s Sami al Saidi finished runner-up in 14:15:12 while Jordan’s Salama al Aqraa came third in 14:21:24. Russia’s Natalia came first in the women’s category, Morocco’s Aziza finished runner-up.
