RGO Cavalry wins Muscat Showjumping Series

MUSCAT: The 1st Muscat Showjumping Series kicked off in coincidence with the 47th Glorious National Day celebrations. The series was organised by the Olympic Cavalry Training Institute in Al Fulaij, in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, Oman Equestrian Federation and the National Economic Diversification Programme ‘Tanfeedh’. The concluding ceremony was held under the auspices of Sayyid Shabib bin Taimour al Said, Advisor to His Majesty the Sultan for Environmental Affairs, in the presence of Sayyid Munthir bin Saif al Busaidi, Chairman of Oman Equestrian Federation (OEF), officials of Government cavalry units and those interested in equestrian sports in the Sultanate. The horse rider Jamal bin Humaid al Shuryani from the Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) came first with 48.15 seconds. — ONA
