Defence Secretary General receives US military official

MUSCAT: Mohammed bin Nasser al Rasbi, Secretary General at the Ministry of Defence, received in his office at Muaskar Al Murtafaa on Tuesday Vice Admiral John C Aquilino, Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command and the US 5th Fleet, currently visiting the Sultanate. The meeting exchanged cordial conversations and discussed a number of matters of common concern. The meeting was attended by senior officers at the office of the Secretary General at the Ministry of Defence and the Military Attaché at the US Embassy in Muscat. Lt Gen Ahmed bin Harith al Nabhani, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), also received in his office at Muaskar Al Murtafaa Vice Admiral John C Aquilino. The meeting exchanged viewpoints and discussed a number of matters of common concern between the two friendly countries. The meeting was attended by a number of senior COSAF officers and the Military Attaché at the US Embassy in Muscat. Commodore Said bin Abdullah al Saedi, Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) also received Vice Admiral John C Aquilino and held talks. — ONA
