Majan University College hosts graduation of 933 students

MUSCAT: The parents and relatives of 933 students celebrated with their wards, spouses and children the realisation of dreams come true during the 22nd graduation ceremony of Majan University College held on December 11 at Al Noor hall, Muscat. The ceremony held under the auspices of Said bin Saleh al Kiyumi — Chairman, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was also attended by Shaikh Rashad bin Ahmed al Hinai — Chairman of Majan College’s Board of Trustees, Shaikh Nasr bin Amer al Hosni — Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and a host of distinguished guests from the private and public sectors. Dr Maha Kobeil, Dean of the college in her speech thanked the chief guest Said bin Saleh al Kiyumi for his presence along with other dignitaries. She expressed her delight and pride in presenting the nation with 933 graduates, 285 of whom were conferred with Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Masters of Science in Computer Sciences (MSc) and Masters in International Human Resource Management, in addition to 648 Bachelor degrees and Diploma in Higher Education. She addressed the families of the graduands, highlighting the great role played in providing the necessary support. Speaking on the coincidence of the graduation with the nation’s recent 47th National Day celebrations, she sent wishes and appreciation to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, the nation and residents of Oman. Congratulating the graduands, she encouraged them to be armed with ethics and lend a hand to the less fortunate. She wished them success in their working lives and urged them to actively contribute to the renaissance of the nation and the development of its economy.
