Four-year-old dies in Nizwa house fire

A four-year-old child died after fire swept through a house in Soual village near Nizwa Souq in Nizwa on Wednesday morning. The incident happened when his mother Fouziah was with her neighbours when her child Nadeem came back from school at around 11:30 am. She asked him to go home and change his clothes. When the mother returned to the house after about 10 minutes, the house was on fire. She tried to bring him out, but she could not because of the smoke. Fire brigade and rescue services doused the fire and transported the child to a hospital, but was pronounced dead upon arrival. AMAL AL RIYAMI
