MUSCAT: Dr Khalifa bin Abdullah al Barwani, CEO of the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), won the Arabian Eagle Award for Arab Administration Strategies granted by Tatweej Academy for Excellence Awards. The award aims at recognising the role of the local and central leaders in leading change and institutional development.
It also seeks to draft the excellence criteria for the local and governmental leaders. It also seeks to highlight the role models in public work and recognise both perfection and achievement in public work. He pointed out that the award stresses the appreciation of the Arab specialised organisations to the successes accomplished by the Sultanate under the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos. It should be noted that the award targets the senior, middle and executive leaders who have the ability to draft and develop visions, mission and policies. It also comes in recognition of their ability to achieve, face challenges, seize opportunities, overcome crisis and forecast future. — ONA
