In the 57th minute, Saad Suhail gave a brilliant cross to super sub Said al Ruzaiqi who fired the crowd in his debut match in this tournament. Nothing changed after the goal, Verbeek’s men continued their good show until the 77th minute when Said al Ruzaiqi headed home from another brilliant cross. In the other match of the group, Kuwait and UAE ended goalless. UAE qualified as the second-place team after the draw with hosts Kuwait.
