Oman traffic accidents on decline for fifth year in row

Royal Oman Police has said that for the fifth year in a row, there has been a decrease in traffic accidents and loss of human lives. Deaths have decreased by 52 per cent and injuries by 33 per cent. Traffic accidents have decreased by 67 per cent compared to the end of 2012. It also added that more traffic service centers have been opened in most of the Sultanate's governorates and provinces, along with online services. On the eve of ROP day on January 5, the police has made a commitment to keep up with the digitalization to meet the requirements of e-government through the introduction of the e-Visa on June 19, which help facilitate the procedures for obtaining Visa via the website.
