Oman has great potential: Japanese Nobel laureate

MUSCAT: The Japanese Professor Hiroshi Amano, recipient of the 2014 Nobel Prize in Physics, said that the Sultanate has the potential to conduct research and studies that would enhance its progress in various fields.
The Japanese Professor pointed out in a press interview that there are several fields, in which cooperation can be made with the Sultanate.
He also said, “We will work with the academic institutions in the Sultanate on new systems related to transfer of energy remotely as with the Internet”.
He described his visit to the Wilayat of Nizwa as “very amazing”, saying that it brought him a lot of knowledge about the Sultanate in general, adding that Muscat City blends tradition and modernity in a very beautiful and harmonious way. — ONA
