Oil hits highest since 2015

LONDON/DUBAI: Market bulls resumed their charge on Thursday, as strong data from the world’s biggest economies sent stock index records tumbling and oil prices to their highest since mid-2015. US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose as high as $62.17 per barrel, their highest level since 2015. International benchmark Brent rose to a 2 1/2-year high of $68.19 a barrel. Oman oil price for March delivery too hit $65.56 with a rise of $1.37 on Thursday at the Dubai Mercantile Exchange. — Agencies
