Cooperation in fighting cancer discussed

MUSCAT: Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Minister of Health, received in his office on Monday Princess Dina Mired, president-elect of the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), and her accompanying delegation. During the meeting, the two sides discussed the Sultanate’s preparations to host the World Cancer Conference 2020, as well as means of cooperation between the Sultanate and the UICC in reducing the incidence of cancer. The meeting was attended by Dr Wahid al Kharousi, Chairperson of Oman Cancer Association (OCA), and Dr Basim al Bahrani, Head of National Oncology Centre. — ONA
