OSWL at Arab Writers Union meet in Syria

DAMASCUS: Oman Society for Writers and Literati (OSWL) took part at the regular meeting of the Arab Writers Union’s Permanent Bureau, which was held in Damascus with participation of 15 Arab countries, in addition to Syria. The Sultanate’s delegation included the poet Said bin Mohammed al Saqlawi, OSWL President, the writer Khalfan al Zeidi, OSWL Secretary and Asem al Shidi, OSWL member, in addition to the poet Hesham al Saqri. The delegations included researchers, poets and members of Arab literary societies. During the two-day seminar, held on the sidelines of the meeting, under the theme ‘Culture of Illumination, Current and Future Challenges,’ 22 poets and poetesses highlighted their intellectual and creative productions. The regular meeting of the Arab Writers Union’s Permanent Bureau included activities including poems and exchange of souvenirs among literary delegations’ members. — ONA
