New DNA testing technique for blood transfusion safety

To achieve the highest levels of safety during blood transfusion to patients, the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital (SQUH) has launched a new DNA blood donor testing technique.  A statement from the hospital said that It will accurately detect blood-borne diseases during the incubation period, which will be added to the blood samples tests of the donors.
