Major narcotics haul at Muscat airport, expats arrested

Royal Oman Police said its Department of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances at Muscat International Airport arrested four persons of Asian nationality on charges of smuggling and possession of narcotics. ROP added that in this particular case, 58 capsules of morphine drug were seized. All the accused have been referred to the judicial authorities to complete the investigations. The ROP appreciates the efforts made by citizens and residents to combat drugs through cooperation and to inform the police of any acts of narcotics and psychotropic substances by contacting the hotline (1444) or the emergency telephone (9999). The identity of people giving information will be kept confidential.
