OGC participates in Muscat Marathon

MUSCAT: Underscoring its strong belief that a healthy and well-motivated workforce is indispensable to its corporate and operational success, OGC was an enthusiastic participant in the Al Mouj Muscat Marathon, which was held in Muscat during January 18-19, 2018. A heartening number of OGC staffers as well as management executives joined the estimated 6,000-odd runners who were part of this exciting two-day event organised by Oman Sail in collaboration with Al Mouj Muscat and a host of sponsors. Also taking part were children of OGC employees, joining around 2,000 of their peers in this annual event. The 2018 edition of the Muscat Marathon featured 6 race categories: Marathon; Half Marathon; 10K; Marathon Relay; Kids’ Run; and Charity Fun Run. Besides encouraging its employees to be part of this iconic annual event, OGC is also eager to demonstrate its support for initiatives aimed at combatting diabetes, a serious lifestyle disease that presently afflicts around 14 per cent of Oman’s population. OGC advocates an active and healthy lifestyle for its employees.
