Education Ministry discusses cooperation with EC envoy

MUSCAT: Officials from the Ministry of Higher Education discussed with Salvatore Pantaleo, Representative of the European Commission (EC), and the EC Attaché for Political and Educational Affairs, potentials of the joint cooperation between the ministry and the EC in the field of higher education sector. The two sides discussed the education programme in the European Union EU (Erasmus Programme 2014-2020), which provides opportunities to finance scholarships for the EU students and the partner countries. The two sides also discussed (Jean Monnet Programme), which is concerned with developing and supporting the EU studies in the whole world by supporting higher education institutions, besides exchanging experience and knowledge. — ONA
