9,193 Omanis hired in private sector

MUSCAT: A total of 9,193 citizens have been appointed in various private sector establishments between December 3 and February 5, the Ministry of Manpower announced on Wednesday. Appointees include 4,657 candidates below general education diploma, 2,989 with a general education diploma and 1,547 citizens with a high diploma and university degrees. In a statement, the ministry said the government is continuing to provide job opportunities in the private sector as per the plan being implemented to accommodate job-seekers. The ministry will publish the third list of job-seekers for conducting tests and interviews for recruitment in the private sector. — ONA
