SQU team wins robot championship

MUSCAT: The EVO 3 team from the College of Engineering, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), won the Sultanate Champion title in the robot championship for universities (VEX U) which was held as part of the 8th Technical Festival. Six teams representing the Sultanate’s varsities participated in the contest which was organised by the mechatronics group in collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)-Oman. The winning team comprised Qasim al Yafei, Zaharan al Nabhani and Murshid al Riyami under the supervision of Ashraf I Saleem, from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, SQU.
