Buy books at fair, get it delivered free

MUSCAT, Feb 24 - Books purchased at the Muscat International Book Fair 2018 will be delivered free of cost anywhere in the country by Oman Post. This is part of the national postal authority’s efforts to encourage the reading habit among children and inculcate the habit of gifting books among both children and adults. “Now, you can gift a book to your loved ones from Muscat International Book Fair at Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre. Oman Post will deliver it free of cost,” said Yahya al Ghannami, Head of Public Relations, Media and Publishing at the Oman Post. This initiative is applicable only to books purchased at the fair and weighing up to 3 kg. If the weight exceeds 3 kg, 700 baisa will be charged. “This initiative is part of our CSR (corporate social responsibility) to encourage all book lovers who want to gift books to their loved ones anywhere in the country,” says Al Ghannami. Visitors can approach the Oman Post corner at the MIBF and hand over their purchases, which will be delivered in 24 hours to three days.
