Sultanate takes part in Arab Interior Ministers Council’s meeting

Algiers: The Sultanate took part in the 35th meeting of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, which was held in the Algerian capital on Tuesday. The Sultanate’s delegation to the meeting is led by Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior. The two-day meeting discusses several issues, including a draft security and information plan for awareness and prevention of crime and the report of the Secretary-General of the Council on the work of the Secretariat between the 34th and 35th sessions, as well as the draft of a ninth Arab security plan and a seventh Arab information plan for security awareness and crime prevention. Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior, met separately Interior Ministers of Jordan and Lebanon on the sidelines of the council meeting The meetings discussed the existing relations between the Sultanate and these countries as well as the agenda of the 35th meeting. The meetings were attended by the Sultanate’s ambassador to Algeria and officials.— ONA
