DIAM, OMAN BROADBAND SIGN MoU

MUSCAT: The Public Authority of Electricity and Water (Diam) represented by Mohammed bin Abdullah al Mahrooqi, and Oman Broadband Company (Oman Broadband), represented by Said bin Abdullah al Mantheri signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday at Oman Broadband Head Office, Knowledge Oasis Muscat. The MoU aims at boosting the cooperation between the two entities in enabling the efficient use of the infrastructure of Diam by Oman Broadband that will support the broadband network distribution to reach the communities faster and in a cost-effective manner through reduction in the excavation works for the broadband network projects. This will also reduce the downtime caused from obtaining work permits from various authorities. This cooperation is a key towards achieving common goals for the government from optimum use of the available infrastructures. — ONA
