LONDON: The 13th round of joint working group meetings between the Sultanate and the United Kingdom were held in London on Wednesday. The Omani side was led by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Secretary-General of the Foreign Ministry, while the British side was led by Alastair Burt, Minister of State at the British Foreign Office for the Middle East and North Africa. The two sides discussed areas of bilateral cooperation and means of enhancing it, especially in economic and technical affairs They also exchanged views on regional and international issues and ways of supporting diplomatic and political efforts aimed at solving them and achieving common understanding to strengthen security, peace and stability. The meetings were attended by Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Hinai, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and officials from the two countries. — ONA
