24,945 nationals get jobs till April

MUSCAT: As many as 24,945 nationals have been appointed in various private sector institutions in different governorates until April 23 as efforts continued to recruit 25,000 job-seekers as per the Council of Ministers’ decision. Of these, 16,884 are males and 8,061 are females. The holders of qualifications below the general education diploma (GED) represent 12,018, while GED holders make up 8,533 and the holders of university degree account of 4,394. The construction, wholesale and retail trade employed majority of job-seekers.
