Seeb clinches second Ministry’s Basketball Shield crown

Seeb beat five-time champions Nizwa Club 84-46 to clinch their second Ministry’s Basketball Shield crown at the main hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex late on Thursday. The champion Seeb team received a cash reward of RO 15,000 and gold medals while Nizwa team players received RO 10,000 and silver medals. Ahli Sidab who finished in third placed got RO 5,000 and bronze medals. The match was a tightly contested tie in all the four quarters. Said bin Hamdoon al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Transport and Communications for Ports and Maritime Affairs, was the chief guest for the final and gave away the trophies. The final match was attended by HH Sayyid Malik bin Shihab al Said and Eng Khalfan al Naabi, chairman of Nizwa club in presence of dignitaries and officials.
