Conference on genetic guidance held

SUHAR: Sohar Hospital organised a national genetic counselling conference under the auspices of Shaikh Ahmed bin Khalfan al Ghafili, State Council Member. A number of working papers were presented at the conference on the provision of genetic guidance services, pre-marital health check-up, genetic testing for breast cancer and genetic testing for intellectual disability. The conference was aimed at shedding light on the genetic health services and ways of genetic diagnosis and the latest scientific discoveries in genetic disorders. — ONA
