Education minister meets Qatari delegation

MUSCAT: Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, received in her office a Qatari delegation comprising Mona Mohammed al Kawari, Educational Affairs Adviser at the Office of the Under-Secretary of Education and Higher Education in Qatar, Eman Ali al Nuaimi, Head of Professional Certification for Teachers, and Huda Ibrahim al Emadi, Professional Certification Adviser. They exchanged points of view about the policies of professional certification for teachers and ways of linking those policies with professional standards and the role of professional development towards improving the skills of the administrative and teaching staffs. The minister of education pointed out to the ministry’s keenness to benefit from the experience of the State of Qatar in this field and other aspects of common concern within the context of mutual educational cooperation and the strong relations binding the Sultanate and Qatar. The members of the Qatari delegation expressed their readiness to provide support required in the document-building and application stages pointing out to the positive effect brought about by applying the professional certification policies in the educational system in Qatar.
