New Indian ambassador to Oman named

May 13 - Munu Mahawar has been appointed the next Indian Ambassador of India, said a statement from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). Mahawar  (of the 1996 Indian Foreign Service batch) is presently joint secretary at MEA headquarters,' said the statement. He is expected to take the new assignment shortly. The current Indian envoy, Indra Mani Pandey, who was earlier deputy chief of mission in Paris, was appointed the ambassador to Oman in 2015.
