Ties with UK reviewed

MUSCAT: Dr Mohammed bin Awadh al Hassan, acting Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, received at the General Diwan of the ministry on Monday Julie Scott, Deputy Head of the Arabian Peninsula Department at the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and discussed means of enhancing cooperation on various fields to serve the joint interests, as well as touching on several developments and regional and international issues of common concern. The meeting was attended by Dr Abdullah bin Hamad al Badi, Head of Human Resources Department, officials from the ministry and Hamish Cowell, British Ambassador to the Sultanate. — ONA
