Several illegal fishermen arrested in Oman

May 16 - The Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, in cooperation with the Ministry of Manpower and the Royal Oman Police (ROP), carried out a campaign in Mahut wilayat of Al Wusta against illegal fishing activities. The ministry said the campaign resulted in the crackdown on 35 irregular and illegal expatriates working on fishing boats. The campaign has been carried out in all coastal regions of the city to control illegal fishing practices.
