Following a decision issued on May 9, 2018, The Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) has stopped the circulation of a certain beauty cream product as it contained the prohibited mercury material. [gallery size='full' ids='460320,460321'] The suppliers have been asked to withdraw the existing quantities of the product from all markets of the sultanate to ensure public health safety. Anyone who violates this decision shall be subject to penalties involving a fine of not less RO50 and more than 1,000, which will be doubled if the offense is repeated. If the violation continues, there will be a fine of RO50 per day and the decision will be implemented from the date of its publication.
