Over 500 expats arrested, several deported

Photo for illustration purpose only The labor inspection team at the Ministry of Manpower arrested 544 workers in violation of the different provisions of the Labor Law from May 13 to 19. Muscat Governorate topped the list of violations during this period with 299 workers followed by North Batinah governorate with 96 workers. On the other hand, the Ministry of Manpower during the same week deported 314 workers for violations of the provisions of the Labor Law and ministerial decisions.
