Crude prices rise to hit $78 a barrel

MUSCAT: Dubai Mercantile Exchange (DME) said that Oman oil price for July delivery reached $77.33. The DME statement said that the price of Oman oil on Tuesday rose 86 cents from the price of Monday, which was $76.47. The average price of Oman oil for June delivery has stabilised at $68.31, thus $7.90 per barrel higher than May delivery. Meanwhile, US crude added 31 cents to $72.55 per barrel and Brent rose 52 cents to $79.73.
