Mekunu: Extraordinary meeting dicusses efforts to minimise impact

The National Committee for Civil Defense (NCCD) held an extraordinary meeting under the Inspector General of Police and Customs, the Chairman of the National Committee for Civil Defense in the presence of the concerned authorities. Th meeting focused on the efforts in terms of preparedness for dealing with the cyclonic situation expected to affect the Dhofar region. The committee was briefed by the specialists from the Public Authority of Civil Aviation on the weather forecast and its potential impact. NCCD affirmed its efforts to enhance its resources and capabilities necessary to reduce the impact of the new weather situation. All efforts will be taken to ensure the adequate supply of medical and other daily items, in addition to the protection of lives and property.
