Emergency plan at Salalah Port

Salalah Port management has activated the emergency plan in preparation for the tropical condition Mekunu, which is expected to affect the governorate’s coasts. The plan includes advising all maritime routes of the latest developments of the tropical conditions, transferring all ships in the port to safer areas, taking necessary measures by shipowners and transferring the hazardous containers to safe areas. It also includes covering all vital areas with sand bags to prepare for any floods.
