Examinations postponed due to weather condition

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Education has decided to postpone some examinations that were scheduled to be held over the next days in the Governorate of Dhofar and parts of the Wilayat of Al Jazir in the Governorate of Al Wusta for public and private schools due to Mekunu situation. Grade 12: The ministry postponed General Education Diploma (Grade 12), from May 27 and 28 to June 12 and 13 in all of Dhofar and schools in the Wilayat of Al Jazir (Souqrah, Al Kuhal, Al Lakbi, Al Khadra). Grade 11: The ministry also postponed grade 11 exams from May 27 and 28 to June 3 and 4 for all of Dhofar and the Wilayat of Al Jazir (Souqrah, Al Kuhal, Al Lakbi, Al Khadra) in the Governorate of Al Wusta. Grades 9 and 10: For grades 9 and 10 in private bilingual schools in Dhofar, chemistry and biology exams were postponed from May 27 and 28 to June 3 and 4. The ministry said it will continue to monitor and assess the situation and take necessary action in accordance with the developments in the situation. — ONA
