Technical committee for census meets

MUSCAT: The Technical Committee of Electronic Census of Population, Housing and Establishments 2020 on Sunday held its third meeting for 2018 under the chairmanship of Dr Khalifa bin Abdullah al Barwani, CEO of the National Centre for Statistics and Information, and head of the committee. The committee viewed the presentation by Omar al Ismaili, Director-General of Census on the status of the project. The presentation covered the progress made in matching the data, measures taken to update the data and the electronic linkage mechanisms followed with the relevant databases. The committee also discussed the measures taken regarding implementing the decisions of the second meeting and reviewed the status of the approved databases for the project. The committee also reviewed the electronic linkage among relevant stakeholders. It approved the minutes of the second meeting and reviewed the outputs of the seminar on the media identity for census. — ONA
