Wadi al Maawil hosts maiden Habta market

WADI AL MAAWIL: The Wilayat of Wadi al Maawil in South Al Batinah Governorate saw the first Habta (traditional market) of Eid al Fitr, on Monday. The Habta witnessed heavy footfall with buyers thronging the marketplace to secure their needs during the Eid holidays. The prices of goats and sheep ranged from RO 60 to RO 300 while the prices of cows were anything between RO 300 and RO 500. Other wares sold at the Habta included food stuff, accessories, clothes, footwear, Omani fruits and Omani halwa. Habtas will continue in the coming days with the second Habta to be held today at Affi village.
