First day of Muharram will be public holiday in Oman

Muscat: The Minister of Manpower issued a decision that the first day of the new Hijri year 1440 AH (Muharram) shall be an official holiday for employees of companies, establishments and establishments of the private sector subject to the provisions of the Labor Law. The resolution also indicated that employers and employees may agree on a compensation for such leave if work is necessary.
